Perhaps one way to make McCain's choice of Palin as his running mate - about McCain's impulsive and unvetted choice - and remind voters that we can only expect more impulsiveness should McCain become president - is to XXXXgate the word, as has become the standard operating procedure when referencing some new scandal. So in this case - we get Palingate.
I must say - I have mixed feelings about this - as in general I agree that Palin herself should simply be ignored. And yet at the same time - I think McCain's impulsive choice of her needs to be highlighted. But does highlighting the one (the impulsive choice) always and only bring her back into the spotlight in a way that excites the conservative base - and so hurt us in the end?
