I look forward to meeting many of my fellow dKos members (I've never cared for the term "Kossacks" myself) this evening as well as throughout the weekend.

My wife, Mrs. Brainwrap, will be at dinner tonight but isn't attending the convention itself.

For the record, I've only attended one NN before...the 2nd Yearly Kos convention in Chicago (before they changed the name to Netroots Nation). I'm guessing that a lot has changed since then, so I don't even know what to expect.

In any event, I just wanted to thank the dKos community again for your amazing outpouring of support at the fundraiser that Markos and the dKos crew put together for me a few months back.

It wasn't just the time spent on the ACA Signups project, but also the 2 months that I was effectively useless afterwards with a nasty shingles outbreak (caused, for the most part, by becoming run down due to tracking the enrollment insanity). I really can't tell you how much that fundraiser saved my bacon this year (and I'm Jewish, so I shouldn't even be eating bacon...)

Anyway, I just wanted to thank everyone again, and let you know how much it meant to me.

As for NN14 itself, I'm not hosting a panel or anything like that; I'm just a standard attendee, so I'll be bopping around from one event to another in a likely random fashion.

Hope to see many of you there!!

More Tagging tips:

A tag is a way to search for this diary. If someone is searching for "Barack Obama," is this a diary they'd be trying to find?

Use a person's full name, without any title. Senator Obama may become President Obama, and Michelle Obama might run for office.

If your diary covers an election or elected official, use election tags, which are generally the state abbreviation followed by the office. CA-01 is the first district House seat. CA-Sen covers both senate races. NY-GOV covers the New York governor's race.

Tags do not compound: that is, "education reform" is a completely different tag from "education". A tag like "reform" alone is probably not meaningful.

Consider if one or more of these tags fits your diary: Civil Rights, Community, Congress, Culture, Economy, Education, Elections, Energy, Environment, Health Care, International, Labor, Law, Media, Meta, National Security, Science, Transportation, or White House. If your diary is specific to a state, consider adding the state (California, Texas, etc). Keep in mind, though, that there are many wonderful and important diaries that don't fit in any of these tags. Don't worry if yours doesn't.
